Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education: Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract

This study explores the opportunities and challenges of integrating Artificial Intelligence in higher education institutions. The research was conducted in selected universities in Zanzibar using mixed methods. Findings indicate that AI has significant potential to improve teaching, learning, and administrative processes, but challenges such as infrastructure, skills gap, and ethical concerns remain.
